"Meating the Need"

On Sunday, September 17, you will have the opportunity to help St. Christopher's and Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank "meat the need" of providing both a steer (Burger) and a pig (Bacon} to the food pantries in Hamilton County. Our goal is to raise $2,250, which will provide 3,185 pounds of meat to people of our county who are food insecure. Please stop in the Narthex to contribute to this feeding ministry and meet Burger and Bacon or you may donate online.
To donate online through St. Christopher's use the link below. You can log in (if you have set up a user name and password) or click instant gift if you do not. Select Designated Offering. Then beside the designated offering, enter a memo of either steer or pig so the Treasury Team knows how to apply the donation.
Parenting Teens Class

"The Space Between Us: A Parent's Guide to Teenage Development" is a six-week class coming up that will be facilitated by Brad and Katrina Lewis, parents of two college-age children. The book will focus on communication and being a positive and proactive bridge-builder into your teen's world. We hope the class will also allow you to give and receive support among other parents. This class will be scheduled at a time convenient for participants who register. The cost for the class is $10. Scholarship money is available, so don’t let the cost stop you (contact Mother Jenny).

Registration closes September 24 and classes begin the week of October 1.
Calling all Youth for Visit with Waycross Camp Director

Please save the date for a fun Youth Group Meeting immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, September 24, 2017. We will be joined by Victoria Hoppess from Waycross.

Victoria is the Waycross Camp Director and Diocesan Coordinator of Ministries With and For Youth for the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. In her position, she develops and runs the summer camp program at Waycross and coordinates diocesan youth ministry events. She leads the diocesan Youth Steering Committee and provides support to parishes in the areas of youth and camping ministries.

Victoria will bring an activity that helps her to get to know our youth. She also will provide a lesson that introduces youth to the diocese (what it is and how it relates to them). She will share information about activities that our youth can participate in at Waycross.

We will have lunch together. Please plan to stay and enjoy the fun until 12:45 to 1:00 p.m. Please RSVP here so we have a count for pizza!
Friends and Family CPR Class
September 24, 11:30 a.m.

Sue Blase, our parish nurse, will offer a Friends and Family CPR Class on Sunday, September 24, after the 10:00 a.m. service. The class will include an instructional DVD and material from the American Heart Association. This will not be a certification class. Instead it will be an informational class on using CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED). St. Christopher's has an AED. The class will meet in the Conference Room and will last from 30 minutes to an hour.

If you want to attend this class, please send an email to Sue Blase by Thursday, September 21, so she can have sufficient materials. If you are interested but unable to attend on September 24, email Sue with another date that might work with your schedule.
Do we have your photo?

We're on a mission to get a photograph of all our members for the parish database. This will help Father Stephen and all of us put names with faces more quickly. If you have a photo, you can upload it. (Click here for instructions.)

If you do not have a photo, we can help. Volunteer photographers will be available in the Parish Hall after the 7:45 a.m. service and during Coffee Hour after the 10:00 a.m. service on Sundays, September 17 and 24.
