Please share with your learners who have high school students September 2017: Did you know that college/university applications are available as early as September 1st for students who are just entering their senior year of high school?

Students who apply early in their senior year may have a better chance of being accepted for admission, and for receiving financial aid awards. Help is available at GBPL by contacting Melissa Lane at [email protected] or by setting an appointment at 847-289-5837. All services are free to library customers.

Gail Borden Public Library wants you to have shorter hold times for the eBooks you want and receive response to requests more quickly. That is why they are focusing their resources on Cloud Library and Hoopla.

The Library will no longer offer Overdrive/My Media Mall to their customers beginning October 1.

Read more about it on the Library website.

75
Adults Remain On Our Wait List

There are 75  potential learners currently on our waiting list. These learners need to be tested before they can enter the program, and are not ready to be matched.
Testing dates have been scheduled and more learners will be ready to be matched. We have a different group of learners who are tested and ready to be matched.

Matching these learners is our priority as they have been waiting the longest for a tutor. We do everything we can to match our tutors and learners as fast as possible. We must find a pair that has the same availability, and this often slows down the process.

If you are currently waiting for a learner, we are working on setting up a match meeting as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

If you have specific questions please contact Jody.
