Mason-Montgomery Road Widening Continues with Road Closure This Weekend
Beginning Friday, Sept. 15, at 11 p.m., through Monday, Sept. 18, at 5 a.m., a portion of Mason-Montgomery Road will be closed for storm sewer installation at Parkway Drive.
Mason-Montgomery Road between Natorp Boulevard and Irwin-Simpson Road will be closed, but access to local businesses within the closure area will be permitted. Through traffic should follow the posted detour that will use Natorp Boulevard, Duke Drive, Irwin-Simpson Road and Wilkens Boulevard or seek alternate local routes to avoid the project area.
This work is part of the Mason-Montgomery Road Widening Project that will provide one additional lane in each direction on Mason-Montgomery Road to ease congestion and improve safety throughout this well-traveled corridor.

Ready to help shape the vision for the 30 acres of Kingswood property set aside for greenspace? Make sure to attend the public meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25, at Deerfield Township Station 57, located at 3435 US 22 in Loveland. Helping guide that meeting and the overall visioning process will be MKSK, an award-winning planning, urban design, landscape architecture and entertainment design firm recently hired by the township.
Two additional public meetings are being planned for you to provide input on other elements of the Kingswood development plan with elected officials, designers and other consultants, including the master developer. Stay tuned for dates, times and locations.
"Now that preliminary planning for the Kingswood development is underway, it's time to add details to the vision, and our residents are central to that process," said Deerfield Township Board of Trustees President Chris Romano. "We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to create public space that adds to Deerfield's quality of life. And we need to do it as a community."

FallFair Festival Celebrates the Arts
The FallFair Arts Festival returns Sunday, Sept. 17, with more than 70 local and regional artists participating. Presented by The Arts Alliance, the event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Cottell Park at 5847 Irwin-Simpson Road.
A wide variety of fine arts and crafts will be available for purchase, including work in mixed media, clay, drawing, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, painting, photography, sculpture and wood. The day also will feature performances by the Northern Cincinnati Youth Orchestra, Comet Skippers, Mason Community Band and Acting Up Review, as well as an art activity tent for kids.

Brush Removal Returns Sept. 25
This month's brush removal is scheduled for the week of Sept. 25. Please place your yard trimmings at the curb by Monday at 7 a.m. to ensure pickup that week.
As a reminder, limbs, vines and brush smaller than 1 inch in diameter or any brush with thorns should be tied with string in bundles. Stumps, roots or limbs more than 6 inches in diameter cannot be accepted.

September Brings Two More Free Movies in the Park
Grab some popcorn, spread out your blanket and settle in with the entire family for more free movies under the stars this fall. September's schedule includes these recent hits:
- Friday, Sept. 22: A young boy finds an unlikely friend in Pete's Dragon, a remake of the popular children's classic. Movie starts at dark (approximately 7:30 p.m.) in Cottell Park. Come early to enjoy free popcorn and face painting courtesy of Loveland Christian Church (while supplies last)!
- Friday, Sept. 29: A young Polynesian woman answers the call to embark on a daring mission that could save her people in Disney's animated smash Moana. The free screening begins at dark (approximately 7:15 p.m.) in Roberts Park.
