NOTES FROM KRISTEN!

Hi Company Families! 

If you are planning on attending the P & D costume sale this week or need me to look for anything for you, I need to know by tonight! 

Here are a few quick notes but BE SURE TO READ THE BLOCKS BELOW to stay up-to-date on all of our Company Information!  (The schedule of dates is also below!)

  • Our first fundraiser of the season is about to begin! Pizza order forms will be available soon-see below for details!
  • Sunday rehearsals continue this Sunday, September 17th- see schedule below!
  • Company Headshots will be Sunday, October 8th for EVERYONE in Company! Mark your calendars now!
  • Bring a Friend week is next week: September 18-23. Invite your friends to join you in class to see how much fun it is standing Center Stage!
  • Burg Fest is September 23- Check out which groups are performing below!
  • Harvest Festival is October 7- Check out which groups are performing below!
  • The Talent on Parade Dance Directive is coming up October 15th! SEE INFORMATION BELOW! This is a required event for all Pre-Professional Company members and is optional, but highly recommended, for all other company dancers! :) Dancers who won a scholarship to attend this event for FREE need to bring the scholarship to me!
    • Please sign up & pay via the GOOGLE FORM BELOW by September 21st
       as we will be REGISTERING TOGETHER AS A GROUP! Dancers must sign up even if using a scholarship in order to attend.
  • Kari Herman is coming back for another awesome weekend of dance! Save the dates: October 27-29! More details coming soon!
  • P & D Costume Sale Info is below! Dates: September 14th & 15th
    • This costume sale can be a good resource for purchasing your solo/duet/trio competition costumes, especially for jazz, lyrical or contemporary routines and possibly young tappers! 
    • Please note! If you go when I'm not there, you will need to approve costumes through me via text first! Some of the costumes may not fit within our studio guidelines! See below for more info on times, etc...!
  • If your dancer plans to compete a solo/duet/trio this year we must have a contract signed for the solo/duet/trio! We will be unable to assign a teacher to your dancer/start the routine until we receive your paperwork.

Talent on Parade Dance Directive
October 15th

-SIGN UP BELOW BY SEPTEMBER 21ST!-

WE WILL ENTER AS A GROUP, SO MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP WITH US!  

This is a GREAT opportunity that I highly recommend to all Company and Pre-Company students!* 

There will be classes in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, musical theatre and more!  
Beginners (generally age 7 and younger) approx. 7:15am-12:00pm
  • $74 for the day or any part thereof. The Beginner Level is a half-day program that consists of 4 morning classes at approximately one hour each, with registration beginning at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes beginning at 8:00 am. Classes will conclude around noon. It will be geared primarily to ages 7 and younger with 2 or less years studio experience although true beginners of any age will be welcome.
Intermediate students (generally age 8-12)  approx. 7:15am-5:00pm
  • $94 for the day or any part thereof. The Intermediate Level program consists of a full day of classes which typically includes 8 classes of approximately 1 hour each. Registration begins at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes begin at 8:00 am. There is a 1 hour lunch break around noon, and classes conclude around 5:00 pm. These classes are best for dancers ages 8-12 with 2-4 years of studio experience although dancers of all ages are typically represented based on strength of experience and comfort level.
Advanced students (generally age 12 and up) approx. 7:15am-6:30pm  (including an hour and a half scholarship audition).
  • $104 for the day or any part thereof. The Advanced Level program consists of a full day of classes which typically includes 8 classes of approximately 1 hour each and a 1 1/2 hour audition class as well. Registration begins at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes begin at 8:00 am. There is a 1 hour lunch break around noon, and classes conclude around 6:30 pm. These classes are best for dancers ages 12 and older who work hard and are ready to be challenged. Strong dancers under 12 may also be admitted with studio teacher recommendation.
I will help you determine the level your dancer should be placed in!  Please sign up and secure payment at the FRONT DESK no later than  September 21!

This costume sale can be a good resource for purchasing your solo/duet/trio competition costumes, especially for jazz, lyrical or contemporary routines and possibly young tappers! 

The costumes available at this sale are almost all custom made and already embellished.  The cost is generally $100+, but they do have some for less.  They are high quality costumes in great used condition for less than you would pay to have one of this quality made yourself.  
  • If you are interested in attending, please let me know so we can plan to go together! As of right now, I am planning on going Thursday afternoon and it's best if we can go together if possible.
  • If you are okay with me looking for a costume for your dancer, I can do so, but would prefer for you to be there.

  • We use our Company Team App to send out push notifications as needed! Be sure to sign up for all of your specific groups as well as the ALL COMPANY group! (Instructions Below)

First: Download Team App onto your smartphone.

Second: Launch Team App.

Then follow these steps:

1. Sign-up to Team App.
 You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.

2. Log in. Then search for Center Stage Company and request access to the group(s) that apply to you.

For example, everyone should request access to join the 2017/18 All Company group and then all of the group classes/ routines that you/ your dancer are in! 

3.  Enable Push Notifications on your phone! (Go to settings to enable them.)

We will use this App to send push notifications to your phone to give everyone immediate need-to-know information- especially during the competition season! 

If you don't have a smartphone, reply to this email so you can be added manually and you'll receive email notifications instead of push notifications to your phone.
