What's New:
SpotlightNews NEW Quantas-Q2-213: High Energy, Compact, Nanosecond, DPSS Laser!

Quantas Q2 models are diode pumped, fully air-cooled, Q-switched lasers designed for a wide range of applications that require high peak power pulses.

The robust, reliable design makes the Quantas Q2 an ideal tool for applications such as Light Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), LCD repair, laser ablation, remote sensing and many others.

A wide selection of models are available including 70 mJ @ 50 Hz or 40 mJ @ 100 Hz. The less than 10 ns pulse duration allows efficient fundamental wavelength conversion to higher harmonics. Harmonics are available through the 5th harmonic.  At 213nm, the Quantas laser produces up to 6mJ of pulse energy with rep rates up to 20Hz. Wavelength conversion into the infrared range by use of an OPO are also available upon request.

TEC based cooling eliminates the risks associated with water cooling and reduces the overall running cost due to there being no maintenance required.

L6Cs and L4Cs Wavelength Combiners

The L6Cc and L4Cc are compact all-in-one wavelength combiner systems which integrates Laserboxx modules, LBX and LCX.

The modular design allows a large choice of laser lines within standard platform with a standard free space beam output or optional fiber delivery through SM, PM, or MM fiber with single or multiple outputs.

The L6Cc/L4Cc are field up-gradable for cost effective future upgrades. They are microprocessor controlled and provide advanced features and interfaces for demanding applications.

They are available in ready to use plug and play versions or OEM versions.

Laser LASERS:
ALTAIR is a femtosecond, quasi-continuous wave range of lasers, typically emitting at 1040 nm, which delivers industrial grade performance in a rugged, compact, air-cooled package.

The Altair is available with repetition rates of 20,40 and 80 MHz, in a robust and extremely easy to install format.  This ultra-short pulsed laser is ideally suited for the most demanding biophotonics applications. The ALTAIR is capable of average powers ranging from hundreds of mW up to 20W, with ultra-short pulse widths down to < 100 fs (other fs pulse durations available).

This state-of-the-art fiber laser technology provides excellent beam quality and high resolution that is often required by many life-science microscopy applications. The performances of this range of lasers coupled with cost-efficient components allows for a low cost of ownership.  Typical applications for the Altair include Multiphoton Microscopy, Two-photon microscopy, Neuroscience, Optogenetics, OPO Pumping, Non Linear Optics, spectroscopy, Terahertz generation and many more.

1.5um, 800µJ Wedge XB Laser2

The Wedge XB laser emits more than 800 µJ at 1.5 um with a pulse width of 1.5ns, resulting in peak powers of over 530kW. Higher energy versions at 1.5 µm are available upon request.

The air-conduction-cooled unit measures only 22 x 26 x 8 cm. The Wedge family of lasers is available in different models and frequency ranges from single shot to 100KHz, with polarized output and high energy stability. Based on proprietary fast Q-Switching technology, this compact, sealed, and monolithic diode pumped laser is vibration/shock proven and insensitive to harsh environments. The Wedge platform can be customized to suit a variety of applications needs and has been successfully fielded for both ground and airborne applications.

Brief Introduction to Raman Spectroscopy

Application
Raman Spectroscopy is a vibrational
spectroscopy technique unique from other vibrational spectroscopy techniques in that it can non-destructively measure samples in real time with no or very little sample prep. Additionally, because water has a very weak Raman signal, we can use Raman spectroscopy to analyze aqueous solutions. For these reasons, Raman spectroscopy is continuing to gain popularity in fields such as biomedical, pharmaceutical, defense and security, counterfeiting, and more.

The Raman Effect is commonly defined as the inelastic scattering of light by molecules because the incident photon slams into the molecule, imparts or absorbs energy, then scatters off at a different angle. By collecting this scattered light and measuring the various shifts in wavelength caused by vibrations of the molecular bonds, one can determine the bond structure of the molecule by measuring the vibrations of molecular bonds. In order to measure Raman shifts, one must start out with highly monochromatic light (e.g. a laser) with very specific wavelength... Read More

Webinar: Hosted by  RPMC Lasers, Inc. & KM Labs

Sub 150fs Amplified Fiber Laser and Applications
with a focus on Micromachining.
September 28th
This webinar will show the benefits of moving to true femtosecond machining (<200 fs) for a variety of materials and processes and will show how the switch to shorter pulses is as simple as changing the laser. Shorter pulses allow for higher peak power at a lower pulse energy, meaning the ablation threshold is reached with much less shock to the sample. This reduces microcracking while also allowing an increase in repetition rate. Most commercial/industrial laser scanning systems already support operation down to 100 fs and laser repetition rates up to 5 MHz with optimal machining parameters. In addition, the size, form factor, and ruggedness of these femtosecond sources is ideal for  integration into a industrial, medical, or scientific process.
