What to do if a City tree has fallen on your property?

In order to identify City trees (trees on City right of ways and/or on City property) that have fallen onto the property of City residents and expedite the cleaning process, please e-mail the City at irmatrees@coralgables.com with the following information:

  • Contact information (name of resident, address and telephone number);
  • Pictures of fallen tree (please include a picture showing where the tree was originally  planted - swale, sidewalk, etc.); and
  • Whether the tree is blocking ingress/egress into the residence.
Please call your insurance providers if there is structural, vehicular or property damage and follow their instructions to accurately file claims.

Please be sure to put safety first:  stay away from loose or dangling power lines and be on the lookout for loose tree branches, parts of buildings or other types of debris when you are outside.

An employee of the Office of Risk Management will be in contact with you within the next hour.
If you have any further questions, please call the Office of Risk Management at 305-733-0208 or 305-733-0309.
