SENIORS AND CONTINUING CARE PROVINCIAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

Recruitment is underway for a new Alberta Health Services (AHS) Seniors and Continuing Care Provincial Advisory Council.

AHS is recruiting Albertans who have personal interactions with or who are caregivers for clients in continuing care. Help transform the seniors and continuing care system through gathering public input, providing feedback about what is working well and areas for improvement; considering information provided by AHS and identifying issues or trends from a local perspective. Advisory Council members are volunteers who assist AHS by engaging members of communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner.

Recruitment will run until September 22, 2017. Review the web page for more information. If you have questions, phone toll-free 1-877-275-8830 or email [email protected].
GLOBAL ONLINE CONSULTATION ON RESEARCH PRIORITY SETTING FOR HEALTHY AGEING

The World Health Organization (WHO) adopted the Global Strategy and Action Plan on Ageing and Health in May 2016. A key objective of the Strategy is to improve measurement, monitoring, and research on Healthy Ageing.

As part of an open public consultation that will help to identify research priorities to support the implementation of the new Strategy, an online survey has been developed. Complete this short survey by September 30, so that it can be used to inform the UN International Day of Older Persons on October 1.
