Building a partnership by Building a Clinic in Guatemala

 

Here's your chance to help build the clinic in Monte Margarita, Guatemala:  Amigos de Guatemala's next trip is October 28 - November 4.  Contact Gilberto Garcia Rodriguez at [email protected] or Roger and Karen Heim at [email protected] if you are interested in joining him and a small team of other PNEC folk to work side by side with our Guatemala friends  (We plan to send medical teams when the clinic is finished - hopefully in the late Spring 2018.)

PNEC SleepOut for Homelessness 2017

 ALL adult chaperones MUST complete the Safe Child Disclosure Form.  Those adults who are sleeping over must apply for and provide copies of PA Child Abuse and Criminal Background checks.

Children's Sermon
for Sept.10 (based on Mt. 18: 15-20)
Items needed: 2 large puzzle pieces that interlock.  Hold up puzzle pieces and ask what they are--puzzle pieces that fit together to make a picture.  But the hard part can be trying to get pieces to fit together (put pieces close in a way that they don't fit together.)     You have to work (move pieces) to figure out how they can fit together (place pieces so they fit.)   Church members are like these pieces---sometimes we don't fit together--we argue and disagree.  In today's Bible reading,  Jesus encourages us, when we don't fit together well, to talk with each other until we can figure out a way that we can come together well, like these two pieces fitting together.  When we fit together well, that helps the world see a picture of Jesus in the church.

Williams Scholarship Fund
     Application materials must be in our office by October 1st in order to be considered for a grant for the (preceding) summer and/or (current) fall terms.  Please go to www.pnec.org to obtain more information & the application packet.
    Your application will not be processed until all three application materials are received in the PNEC office.

Maggie Wellert and Greg Krausz, Certified Addictions Counselor.  Faith Stories of the Old Testament with Kim Denyes, MATS is a thematic exploration looking at the Old Testament in a new way.
