This Sunday, in Matt Jones' talk "Creating Your Brightest Future" at 10:30 am and in his workshop "Marathon Mentality" at 12:30 pm, be ready to be inspired by his miraculous story of healing. You will learn how Matt used metaphysical principles and spiritual truths to go from being a three-time cancer conqueror to running marathons on all the continents - after relearning how to walk. You will be reminded of the divine power of possibility within you as you learn how you can use the three pillars of Vision, Action, and Attitude to create your brightest future. You will walk away with your spirit renewed and refreshed.

Here are a few of the many testimonials:

A Life That Works Without All the Work

This Labor Day month we will take a fresh look at creating a life that works without all the hard labor. When we live from certain spiritual principles and spiritual practices and then leave the rest to the Divine, life really can flow with ease and grace. Each week, we look at this idea from a different angle and learn how to create a life that works without all the work!

Sunday Messages ONLINE

With Dan out of town, we'll have to wait for last Sunday's message to be put online. In the meantime, check out the photos from the inspirational service as everyone joins in with "I Release." Join us this Sunday!

Hello from Rev. Kathleen and Dan in England

Hi everyone, Dan and I are still enjoying our trip to England. Our home base at first was Bath. Saw Stonehenge and the ancient Roman baths complex. Bath is a very special place. Lots to do and see there and in the area around it. Fyi great food too!

We've done a lot of walking through Cotswold villages and farms on public footpaths. We visited Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, and then arrived in York. We made friends with a British couple who live near London. They are wonderful people, or as they say in England, "brilliant people!"

Please join us in knowing Divine perfect peace, relaxation, rejuvenation, and safe return home for Rev. Kathleen and Dan on their trip!

I Love Myself Affirmation
Louise Hay

Deep at the center of my being,
there is an infinite well of love.

I now allow this love to flow to the surface.
It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness,
my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions
and returns to me mutliplied.
The more love I use and give, the more I have to give.
The supply is endless.
The use of love makes me feel good,
it is an expression of my inner joy.

I love myself;
therefore, I take loving care of my body.
I lovingly feed it nourishing foods and beverages,
I lovingly groom it and dress it, and my body lovingly
responds to me with vibrant health and energy.

I love myself; therefore I provide for myself
a comfortable home, one that fills
all my needs and is a pleasure to be in.
I fill the rooms with the vibration of love
so that all who enter, myself included,
will feel this love and be nourished by it.

I love myself; therefore I work at a job I truly enjoy
doing, one that uses my creative talents and abilities,
working with and for people I love and who love me,
and earning a good income.

I love myself; therefore, I behave and think in a loving
way to all people, for I know that that which I give out
returns to me multiplied.
I only attract loving people in my world,
for they are a mirror of what I am.

I love myself; therefore I forgive and totally release
the past and all past experiences and I am free.

I love myself; therefore I live totally in the now,
experiencing each moment as good and knowing that
my future is bright and joyous and secure,
for I am a beloved child of the Universe,
and the Universe lovingly takes care of me
now and forever more.

And so it is.

In Memoriam Louise Hay
1926-2017

Beloved pioneer of the New Thought movement, Louise Hay, made her transition on Wednesday, August 30, at the age of 90. We know the Divine Peace she is, shining her bright light every step of her journey. Last week's newsletter contains a press release from the Centers for Spiritual Living home office.

Help in Hurricane Harvey Aftermath

We have within us, a power that is greater than anything we shall ever contact in the outer, a power that can overcome every obstacle in our life and set us safe, satisfied and at peace, healed and prosperous, in a new light, and in a new life.
-- Ernest Holmes

Dear Friends,

I know we are all very concerned about our brothers and sisters in Texas whose lives are threatened and disrupted by Hurricane Harvey. Whether we know anyone affected personally or not, we all know what it is to feel afraid, cold, lonely, and even hungry. There is no answer to the "Why" of this storm. The answer is in "How" we respond.

Disasters become an opportunity to bring us together in expressions of Love for each other. Let's look at "Harvey" as an invitation to express compassion for all who are suffering. Let us pray, with open hearts, for Infinite Peace, Unconditional Love, and Perfect Order in all the lives affected by this storm and in other areas of conflict and displacement. Let us pray, knowing the strength and courage of the first responders so powerfully demonstrating compassion in very tangible and practical ways.

After we pray, if called and according to our means, we have the opportunity to offer financial support through reputable organizations focused on relief including the  Red Cross, the  ASPCA, and also through the efforts of our sister community, the  Center for Spiritual Living Clear Lake, Texas, as they coordinate the distribution of national donations locally. You can make a donation directly through the Center:

The  Center for Spiritual Living Clear Lake Teaching Chapter has  graciously volunteered to administer direct financial assistance  with  donations received for
Hurricane Harvey assistance. You  may donate  via their
PayPal link on their website and by typing  Harvey into the  comments section. 100% of your donation will  provide financial  assistance directly to those affected within the community by the  storm. Click  here  to donate.

Volunteer of the Month
Jennifer Lyons
Jennifer Lyons has for several years been in service to our spiritual community. She is always willing to jump in and help where help is needed.

She is or has been a member of the Offertory and Congregant Care teams.  She serves as a substitute teacher for the Children's Fellowship, as a Sunday reader, as a Light-bearer for after-service prayer, and on the Hospitality team. In the last several months, Jenn has reignited the practice of Lunch Bunch - congregants joining together for food and fun after service on the first Sunday of the month. It is a great opportunity for community building. We all know Jenn to have a kind and generous heart as well as a quick wit that keeps us laughing.

As a professional social worker, Jenn has worked for Christiana Care for many years and is now beginning a new venture with a group of mental health care providers. Please join me in celebrating and thanking Jennifer for all she contributes to our spiritual community.

The late Bro. Wayne Teasdale, dear friend of the Association for Global New Thought, wrote in his book The Mystic Heart,

"Humanity stands at a crossroads between horror and hope. In choosing hope, we must seed a new consciousness, a radically fresh approach to life drawing its inspiration from perennial spiritual and moral insights, intuition, and experience. We call this new awareness Interspiritual, implying not the homogenization of religion, but the recovering of the shared mystic heart beating in the center of the world's deepest spiritual traditions.

Spiritual and religious belief systems shape worldviews that, in turn, determine cultural norms. We believe that discord between and among cultures is a symptom of human woundedness catalyzed by failed understanding. When compassionately understood, the diverse wisdom of our spiritual legacies give rise to healing. WE DO have a hand in determining whether cultures evolve or merely change.

Today, we're right in the middle of a planet-wide values shift. Its implications for religion, spirituality, inter-cultural healing, and personal development are profound indeed. At its very heart lie new understandings of peace and nonviolence, social / economic justice, human rights, and ecological sustainability."

Through Sunday Services and other activities, CSL Delaware will be doing its part in creating greater understanding by honoring the world's spiritual traditions.
