We hope your 2017-18 school year is off to a wonderful start! 

 Wilmington Montessori School's Center for Montessori Advancement is looking forward to another wonderful year of professional development programs for educators. Our first workshop, Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children, is open to parents as well.  We hope all of you will take the time to learn about this important topic and share information about this workshop with others who work with children.  We look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday!

Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training
Tuesday, September 19, 5-7:30 p.m.

What is Stewards of Children?  
Stewards of Children is an evidence-informed program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is designed for both youth-serving organizations and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. 
 
Who should attend? 
Educators, parents, field trip chaperones, Odyssey of the Mind coaches, and anyone else who works or volunteers extensively with children.  
 
Who will facilitate this class?  
Patricia Dailey Lewis is the Executive Director of the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children. The Beau Biden Foundation was established by the family of former Attorney General Beau Biden, after his death on May 30, 2015, to honor Beau's lifelong passion for protecting the most vulnerable, particularly children.

Cost:
Free for Wilmington Montessori School families & staff;  $15 for all others.

Info for WMS Families 

WMS families will earn
three Co-op hours for attending this workshop.

Pre-registered child care is available for students ages 3-12 (WMS families only). Space is limited, so please indicate whether your child will be attending when you register for the workshop.
