September brings the first of NWIBRT's new exciting ways to get involved--NWIBRT Meet & Mingles! These are the perfect opportunity for you and your business to get involved with NWIBRT! Remember--there's no limit to the number of employees who can attend!

What's Happening in Our Committees

Reliability Committee is working toward hosting a Vibration Analysis Training Class open to all members in the third quarter this year.

This month, they are hosting a FREE workshop with limited space on October 11th from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. as part of NWIBRT's Week of Training. The covered topics are "Repairing Electric Motors for Reliability" and "Repair vs. Replacement Decision Making."  To register for this training,  click here!

Their next meeting will be held on August 9th at 10:30 a.m.

Business Development & Marketing Committee is bringing more networking opportunities to NWIBRT members! Be sure to get involved and put your company name in the mix by attending committee meetings every 6 weeks.

On September 21st, the BDMC will be hosting the first ever NWIBRT Shrimp Boil at CAF for NWIBRT members and guests from 3pm-7pm. Come join in the fun for networking, food, music, and cold beer! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and mingle with other NWIBRT members and associates in a casual, fun setting. Tickets are available for NWIBRT members at $25 a piece or a group of 5 for $100. Non-NWIBRT members can also join in the fun by purchasing tickets for $50 a piece or a group of 5 for $250.

The BDMC would like to introduce the first of our  Meet and Mingle networking events! On October 24th, NWIBRT members are invited to meet and mingle at the Ports of Indiana - Burns Harbor. Join Ports of Indiana companies and other NWIBRT members for a Port Tour, networking, and the opportunity to meet and hear from the Port's directors. BCRC Liaison Committee  is hosting three training seminars at the CAF training classroom in the coming months. On September 14th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., come learn about BCRC Card Management. To RSVP, please contact Kristina Walton.

In the month of October, BCRC Liaison Committee will be hosting two FREE training seminars on Drug and Alcohol Awareness for D.O.T. Supervisors, as well as non-D.O.T. Supervisors. As part of NWIBRT's Week of Training, join the BCRC Liaison Committee on October 10 th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the CAF training classrooms for non-D.O.T. Supervisory Training. For the same training as a D.O.T. Supervisor, please join the BRCR Liaison Committee at the same place and time on October 5 th. These events are free and refreshments will be served. Make sure you don't miss out as space is limited. To reserve a spot, please call the BCRC at 219.754.9500.
 
The BCRC Liaison Committee has their next regularly-scheduled meeting on October 19th at 8:00 a.m.

Safety Committee  is hosting an OSHA Compliance Safety Training Seminar on October 5th as part of NWIBRT's Week of Training. This FREE event is open to NWIBRT members on October 12th from 7 a.m. until noon at Purdue University Northwest's Hammond Campus. The seminar will cover Compliance and Understanding of OSHA Silica Standard. For more information about the seminar and to register, click here.
