Learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. We want you to become confident and competent, knowing how to prevent sexual abuse and react skillfully if it occurs.

Tough Work: Understanding and Serving People in Poverty while Caring for Yourself

Participants will better understand poverty: its causes, the types of poverty, and regional characteristics of poverty.

Social Media: Your Child's Digital Tattoo

This program helps parents and educators understand the issues related to social media and mental health.

Understanding Personalities
November 29, 2017 | 9 AM - 12 PM
This is an interactive workshop designed to help identify different personality types and understand how to work together effectively.  Participants will complete a personality test and identify best practices for communicating with other personality types in the workplace. Hear creative strategies for navigating challenging interpersonal dynamics and how to communicate and interact effectively with even the most challenging personality types.

Did you know?
  • Infant Mortality is the death of a live-born baby before his/her birthday. 
  • Infant Mortality tells a lot about the overall health of families and communities. 
  • Efforts to reduce infant mortality, improve the overall health of entire community.
  • Butler County is among the top 10 urban counties in Ohio with the highest infant mortality rates

 

The Butler County Partnership to Reduce Infant Mortality (BC PRIM) was formed in 2013 with the support of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). BC PRIM works with other agencies and our community to improve the health and well being of mothers and infants in Butler County. Living Healthy Together
Healthy Lifestyles for People with Disabilities and their Caregivers. Beginning Monday September 25 in Cincinnati.  Participants receive $100 in incentives!

The Arc of Butler County Upcoming Events- get flyer here
  • September 19 th fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Hamilton from 5-9 pm.  We will be having a bake sale and raffle tickets for sale to win prizes.  Texas Roadhouse will also be donating 10% of their sales from any customer who shows them our flyer.
  • October 21st Halloween party from 12 pm -3 pm  at the Rock Community Center in Fairfield.  There will be games, crafts, snacks, and dancing.  Admission is 1 bag of Halloween candy or $5.00.
  • October 26th  Cookies and Connections event.  This will be a networking event for families to come out and get to know each other as well as share with the Arc and Butler County DD what information they are missing or resources that are needed in our community.  There will be a group of people to work with families as well as a group to do a craft with the kids while their families network!  This will be held at Redeemer Church on route 4 from 6-8 pm. 
  • November 3rd quarter auction at the Rock Community Center in Fairfield.  There will be a vendor fair and concessions as well. Doors will open at 6pm, the auction will start at 7pm and the night will wrap up around 9pm.  Paddles will be $10 which will include 10 tickets.  Additional tickets or paddles can be purchased as well.
  • December 17th we will be having our annual Christmas Dinner Dance at the Meadowbrook Inn in Ross.  There will be food, a DJ, dancing, 50/50 raffle, Santa, and gifts! 


What is Medicaid Managed Care?  Free Regional Informational Forums for People with Developmental Disabilities, Parents, and Families  
Managed Care is a new health care coordination service offered through the Ohio Department of Medicaid. If you or a loved one receive funding through a state-funded developmental disabilities waiver, you or your family are newly eligible for Managed Care as of 2017. Come to one of our in person forums to learn more about this new health care management option.The forums will feature representatives from Ohio's Managed Care plans, who will take audience questions.
