As part of the Southern All of Us Network, UAB, LSUHSC, Tulane, Tuskegee, UMMC, USA, and UA will receive funding to participate in the bold effort to gather data from more than 1 million people living in the U.S.

Exploring the Nexus between Health Literacy and Patient Outcomes
Nurse scientist Dr. Joy Deupree updated a standing room only crowd on local, state, and national initiatives to improve public health by addressing the issue of low health literacy, which affects an estimated 57% of adult Alabamians and is linked to adverse events such as rehospitalization and death.
