Exploring the Nexus between Health Literacy and Patient Outcomes
Nurse scientist Dr. Joy Deupree updated a standing room only crowd on local, state, and national initiatives to improve public health by addressing the issue of low health literacy, which affects an estimated 57% of adult Alabamians and is linked to adverse events such as rehospitalization and death.
