Welcome New & Returning MCS Families!
MCS is fortunate to have a strong parent and teacher network dedicated to building a sense of community as well as providing volunteers and funds to meet school needs and support enrichment activities. Over the years, the PTO has helped fund the science lab, playground equipment, retreat space, smart boards, tablets and chrome books. These efforts directly impact our children’s education and school environment. Additionally, the PTO holds various social events which bring MCS families together. We strive to continue these efforts during the 2017-2018 school year. In order to accomplish this, we are asking for your support and involvement more than ever! We look forward to getting to know you and we welcome your ideas and suggestions. We look forward to another great school year!
We would love to have your ideas and opinions! Please take the MCS PTO interest survey by below.

Important Information about PTO Meetings & Events

For the 2017/2018 school year, we will be having general PTO meetings every other month beginning in October to discuss our larger initiatives, and will work in subcommittees to plan specific events.  We are also asking for more event involvement by class by (a) asking class parents (or their alternate) to attend all general meetings to represent the views of class; and (b) 'sponsoring' specific events by assisting in the planning and/or providing volunteers for the event.

How can you support the PTO?
The PTO is a team effort!  Our success depends upon active participation by parents, guardians or other family members, as well as our dedicated teachers and staff. Studies have shown that students who have involved parents do better academically. We have opportunities to match the amount of time you can give. Just a few hours of your time will help us reach our goals.
Share Your Opinions & Expertise
Get involved! Attend general PTO meetings to learn about upcoming events and become part of the decision making process. Our first meeting will be held on October 17th at 7pm.  Child care will be available, and we plan to offer a teleconference option to increase participation and involvement. More information will be sent a week before this meeting.
Support School Fundraisers
The PTO spearheads various fundraising events such as the magazine drive, Christmas Festival and golf tournament. Additionally, there are a number of passive activities that bring additional funding to the school. We are thankful for the generous support of MCS families, friends and the business community. Your participation is essential to making our future fundraisers successful. Every little bit helps!
Consider Volunteering
We need you!  Our events would not be successful without the help of our fantastic volunteers. We currently are looking to fill the following positions:

  • Mother & Son Event Chair
  • Mother & Daughter Event Chair
  • Father & Son Event Chair
  • Father & Daughter Event Chair
  • Field Day Event Chair
  • Scrips Gift Card Program Coordinator
  • Committee Members for above events; Halloween Spooktacular; Christmas Festival; Beat the Chill 5K; Golf Tournament

Please consider volunteering and becoming involved! Any amount of time is greatly appreciated. If you would like more information or are interested in one or more events, please email pto@monsignorclarkeschool.org .
Volunteer to be a Class Parent!
Interested in Serving as a Class Parent but not sure what it will involve? Here's what you can expect for the 2017/2018 school year.
  • Attend the 4 general PTO meetings each year to represent the class during discussions, as well as be able to disseminate information back to parents of that grade.
  • Coordinate events at a class level.
  • Work with the teacher to coordinate parent involvement in classroom activities and other class needs.
  • We understand that everyone is very busy. This year, we will designate a class parent and an assistant class parent to share responsibilities in order to jointly be able to meet the needs of each class, and ensure timely communication of all important information.
The Annual Magazine Drive is Kicking Off September 27th!

Watch for more information later this month.
