Communities of Faith Respond to DACA Decision
______________________________________________________

Monday, September 11, 2017 , San Francisco -- The San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC) counts as its constituents the 800 congregations in the City and County of San Francisco, their respective judicatories, sectarian educational institutions, as well as the faith-based social service agencies that provide the social safety net for our most vulnerable residents. It has been the policy and practice of the SFIC to speak on behalf of no particular faith tradition or community, while at the same time informing and giving a voice to all.

In that spirit, the SFIC has compiled statements issued by many diverse communities of faith in response to the President of the United States and his Attorney General's September 5, 2017 decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Executive Order.
