SISTERHOOD IN ACTION: THE 1,000 BACKPACK BUILD !
Walking into a very large meeting room, on a hot and humid Thursday in June, all that could be seen were piles of school supplies and backpacks, stacked high and looking like Staples in September. Memories of school supply shopping with my children came to me... what was going on here? It was the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation's 1,000 Backpack Build! SCHOLARSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL GRANT WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Through its growing array of scholarships and need-based educational grants, the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation rewards academic excellence and helps sisters pay tuition and reduce their student debt.  We are pleased to announce that  67 collegiate and alumnae sisters from 36 chapters  received merit-based scholarships or need-based educational grants in 2017-2018.
CHAPTER SPOTLIGHT: ORANGE COUNTY ALUMNAE

The Orange County Alumnae Chapter worked through the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation last fall to identify a local school and it's most-needed supplies, and then held a supply drive to benefit that school. Each chapter, alumnae and friend attending was asked to bring specific school supplies. During the event, Phi Sigs packed pencil cases full of erasers, pencils, glue sticks, crayons and markers. Each sister then wrote an inspiration card to go in the case. The Kids in Need Foundation connected the Orange County Alumnae Chapter with the Young Oak Kim Academy. The school and students were thrilled to get new supplies!

We want to hear what your chapter is doing to support Foundation and our philanthropic cause of school and college readiness. Send all details (and photos!) to [email protected] .
