Join us for our annual Ingathering/Water Communion service. The message on this special day will focus on the ebb and flow of life, the way many streams come together to form a mighty river of justice, community and love. It is time to start planning what we would like to offer, and what we would like to participate in this year in terms of adult religious exploration. So far, we have decided to have:
- Building Your Own Theology class, beginning in October
- Newcomers Covenant Group, beginning late September or early October
- Radical Self Acceptance Covenant Group, beginning September 11
- as well as groups continuing from last year
Look for sign-up sheets in the Small Hall. These will be the people we contact to choose times and dates for new groups. If you have an idea for a group you would like to facilitate please contact

This was an intergenerational service where Milo rang the bell and we learned a bit about Labor Day from our guest speaker Steve Brooks.

Everyone is invited to attend our annual Water Communion. Bring in water to represent something meaningful that happened over the past year and share it with our congregation. Virtual water is also welcome. There is no RE but nursery/Pre-K care is available. We have Purple Doodle boxes in the Great Hall for those that like to keep their hands busy.

This intergenerational joint service with High Plains will be held at Monument Valley Park followed by a potluck picnic. Families will be able to enjoy this outdoor service together. Sure to be a fun morning for all ages!

With the start of a new school year comes our annual registration time. We ask that you fill out a new registration form each year. Please register your kids (babies through youth group) now so we can better plan, be informed, and keep you update. There is no charge to register! Look for the new light blue registration form at the RE Table.

Our Youth Group summer hiatus will be wrapping up soon.
Please plan on joining us Sunday, 9/24, at 10:30am for the start of a very exciting new year - new youth advisors, new activities and of course plenty of snacks!
9th grade trip orientation
We will have the region's orientation after church at noon in the RE Assembly area at All Souls on 9/24. Check out their website and see if you want to be a tripper. Bring your questions to orientation. This trip can also be available to our 10th graders that did not previously make the trip.

Association for D11. After the speakers are finished with their presentations Unite Colorado Springs will give a brief presentation on the upcoming school board elections followed by a Q/A session. After the Q/A, the group will split into small groups to discuss ideas for upcoming actions.

It's time to stop the negative mentality against helping and remember these are people who need us just as much as we need them. We as a community are only as strong as those of us with the least. If one of us suffers, we all suffer. So grab a friend and let's take a stand to better this community!

9/11, 6-9pm, at Ivywild School, "Postcard Huddle: Ending White Supremacy." This huddle will be focused on writing our city council members asking them to fight along side all of us as we push hate groups out of our city. Come to Ivywild School, eat some good food, have some drinks, build community, and most importantly combat hate! As always this event is free and COS CAN, SURJ COS and others will provide all supplies for you. Bring some money for food and drink if you so choose. If you are able, stamp donations are greatly appreciated but by no means required.

If you could know the truth about the threat of climate change - would you want to know? Before the Flood, presented by National Geographic, features Leonardo DiCaprio on a journey as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, traveling to five continents and the Arctic to witness climate change firsthand. He goes on expeditions with scientists uncovering the reality of climate change and meets with political leaders fighting against inaction. Full bar and popcorn will be available. Free admission and donations are appreciated. All donations during this film go to the Planet of AWE.

9/18, 5pm, at the Richard F. Celeste Theatre, Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, "Refugee 101 Training/CC Refugee Alliance." This is the required first-step training towards volunteering with refugees and asylum seekers in Colorado Springs through the CC Refugee Alliance. This lecture is free to the public.

Join Pikes Peak United Way for their quarterly luncheon and learn more about the significant impact of federal budget cuts to our local nonprofits! Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
9/23, 9:30am-3pm, at America The Beautiful Park, "Walk With Compassion on the Dream Centers Team." Dream Centers will kick off the celebrations with a moving opening ceremony that will help put your fundraising impact into context. Be inspired as you walk together as a community and see what your fundraising means to a child living in extreme poverty. The full walk is 3 miles long and there is a smaller walk of 1.5 miles long. After the walk, enjoy games, activities, food, and music as we continue celebrating the fundraising impact you have made.

chris williamson new songs salon concert
With 30-some recordings to her credit,
Cris Williamson is best know for her classic album, The Changer And The Changed. Released in 1975 on Olivia Records, this music became the soundtrack of a movement, and was key in the launch of what would become known as Women's Music, music which was created, performed, and marketed specifically by and for women. Come hear Chris at All Souls, 7:30-10pm on Friday 9/8, where she will be sharing the funds raised with the Colorado Springs Sanctuary Coalition. No Child Left Inside is a national initiative to encourage children to go out into our parks and natural areas to enjoy the outdoors. Participate in activities such as archery, fishing, and birding, together with crafts and other fun activities all of which will take place at the Limekiln Trailhead area of Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Event and activities are free but a State Park's pass is required on all vehicles entering the park (Daily $7, Annual $70). Click here, for more information.
2017 what if festival of innovation and imagination
The FREE What If...Festival of Innovation and Imagination brings thousands of people of all ages together to celebrate innovation and imagination! Personally interact with inventions and innovations in robotics, cycling, phone apps, art, broadcasting, 3D printing, ping pong physics, urban farming, fire prevention, water management, musical instruments, sports, and much more. Whether you're Pagan, Pagan-curious, or simply enjoy a great fall festival with food, music, shopping, and lots of shiny happy people, the Colorado Springs Pagan Pride Day, 10am-6pm on 9/17, is not to be missed. Everyone is WELCOME at this fun and free community event to be held at Thorndale Park. Donations of non perishable food or animal care items for local causes are welcome.
