Congratulations to the 2017 Governor's Arts & Heritage Award honorees

We're pleased to announce this year's Governor's Arts & Heritage Awards (GAHA) honorees recently approved by Governor Jay Inslee.

Seattle Art Museum (King County) - Arts Award, Organization
Lynn Di Nino (Pierce County) - Arts Award, Individual
Peter Christenson (Benton County) - Arts Award, Young Leader
Terrance Robert Bernard Shaw (Thurston County) - Arts Award, Young Leader
Living Voices (King County) - Arts Award, Education
Deva Leinani Aiko Yamashiro (Clark County) - Heritage Award, Individual

The six honorees were chosen based on several criteria, including contributions to arts and cultural development in the state, level of community engagement, quality of work, and significant record of accomplishments. 

Celebrate the achievements of the 2017 GAHA recipients

The public is invited to a celebration dinner honoring the six recipients of the 2017 Governor's Arts & Heritage Awards (GAHA). The dinner will be held on November 14, 2017 at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. 

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased through  Brown Paper Tickets.  

Friends, family, and supporters are also encouraged to place a congratulatory message in the GAHA program. The deadline to place a program message is October 9.
