Driving Directions   

Northbound on I-405: Take Exit 4. After exiting, stay to the left and take the Bronson Way exit to Renton. Do not take the Maple Valley exit to the right. Turn right at bottom of the off-ramp. Continue to the next stoplight and turn right onto Sunset Boulevard. One block further at the stoplight, turn right onto NE 3rd Street. Follow NE 3rd Street to the top of the hill. RTC is on the left side after you crest the top of the hill. Turn left onto Monroe Avenue NE to access the main entrance and make the first left onto the campus. Go straight and Building C (the Technical Resource Center) will be directly in front of you. Parking is on either side as you drive in.

Southbound on I-405: Take Renton Exit 4, merge onto Sunset Boulevard, turn left at the first stoplight onto NE 3rd Street. Follow NE 3rd Street to top of hill. RTC is on the left side after you crest the top of the hill. Turn left on Monroe Avenue NE to access the main entrance. Epic Battle of Plants All Day Workshop 

Please join us for The Epic Battle of Plants Workshop offered by the Master Gardener Foundation of King County.  Earn 6 hours of CE Saturday, November 18th, 2017, at Renton Technical College.

  • Check-in from 8-8:30 AM.
  • The first session (8:30 AM-1 PM with a break) will be Linda Chalker-Scott, PhD, Associate Professor and Extension Urban Horticulturist.  Linda will speak about diagnosing plant stress using leaf color and size changes and how plants work - the science behind the amazing things plants do.
  • There will be a lunch break from 1-1:45 PM.
  • The afternoon session (1:45-3:45 PM) will be Sasha Shaw, Educational Specialist at King County Noxious Weed Control Program.  Her topic is “Garden Bullies: Noxious Weeds and Invasive Plants”

The fee for the event is $15. The last day to register is October 31st, 2017. There will be no refunds.

A box lunch is available for an additional $11.25 and can only be ordered at time of registration. Lunches will not be available for purchase the day of the workshop.  You are free to bring your own lunch if you prefer.

Each box lunch includes a salad, sandwich or wrap, fresh fruit, chips, cookie and bottled water.

  • TURKEY and PROVOLONE SANDWICH
  • VEGETARIAN WRAP (Grilled assorted vegetables layered on a seasoned cream cheese spread wrapped in a chipotle tortilla)
