Come join us for the first Parent Meeting this Tuesday, 7 - 8:30pm at the Lake Washington Resource Center (Board room).

Get Your Logo Wear!

If you missed placing your logo wear order on registration day, you can still order by September 29. You can find the order form here and item flier here.

Drop your order form and check at the front desk, and expect delivery in late October. Have questions? Email [email protected]

Attention 6th Grade Parents!
If you ordered PE t-shirts and missed picking them up on registration day, you can still pick up from the front desk. If you haven't ordered any PE t-shirts, please contact the front desk to order.

Use the ICS Calendar to Connect
What's the best way to publicize an event to ICS parents and students? Putting it in the newsletter is a great start, but there's a second important step: Get the event on the ICS calendar! Just email the following details to [email protected]:

What the event is
When and where it's happening
Whom the event is for

Please note the event must be organized by the school, the district, the ICS PTSA or Washington State PTA, the ICS ASB, or PTSA/ASB-affiliated clubs and committees for inclusion on the ICS calendar.

Seeking: Members at Large for the PTSA Board

Want to be more involved? Interested in a role on the board next year? Come join us as a Member at Large this year! We are looking for two Members at Large this year - one with a child in grade 6-8, one in grade 9-12. Members at Large are expected to attend all PTSA Board meetings, will have a voice and a vote in discussions, and can take on tasks to help the board get its work done. Please email [email protected] if you are interested.

VOLUNTEERING

Attention Parents: Are you an approved LWSD Volunteer?
Before volunteering at ICS, all adults must be approved LWSD volunteers. Please remember that volunteer status must be renewed every two years. Additionally, parents who have volunteered at other LWSD schools should confirm that ICS is listed one of the schools where you plan to volunteer.
To become an approved volunteer: Please complete the Lake Washington School District Volunteer Application and receive your approval notice prior to volunteering.
To check your current volunteer status: Please consult a staff member in our front office to see if your name is on the approved volunteers list or you can also contact the LWSD Volunteer Office to check your approval status at 425-936-1270 or send an email to [email protected]

Volunteers needed: Co-chair and Treasurer for Graduation Committee

JUNIOR PARENTS! Do not miss these volunteer opportunities: Graduation committee co-chair and a treasurer. Both positions will fulfill required ICS volunteer hours for the next 2 years and required senior graduation ceremony participation. Please contact Lyudmila Moskalenko to sign up or with any questions.

Spanish-Speaking Volunteers Needed: ICS Spanish Club

Parent volunteers who are fluent in Spanish are needed to support our ICS Spanish Club. The club will meet once per month and provide participating ICS students with an opportunity to practice their Spanish skills in a fun and relaxed environment. A curriculum used in prior years will help support club activities. If interested, please contact Candice Boyd, our Spanish Club chairperson.
