Moved by her interest in health equity, Tijesunimi Oni (NHS'18) is studying medical records at a maternal and child health clinic and making recommendations to ensure that pregnant patients receive screenings they need.

 



Elaine Shults (BGE'17) won a blue ribbon prize for her internship project with the Innovation and Partnerships Office at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Shults said that her experience in the LLNL Summer Internship Program helped her prepare for her new role as a regulatory intelligence analyst for Genentech. Max Li (BGE'17) and Diba Zomorrodi (BGE'17) also participated in the internship program, which has hosted BGE interns since 2012. 

Gabrielle Essix (BGE'18), Khalida Saalim (NHS'19) and Joseph White (SOM'20) were selected as part of the first class of Georgetown University Global Health Initiative Student Fellows. They will perform research, network with other global health fellows and faculty members, and participate in global health events at Georgetown and around Washington, DC.
