Moved by her interest in health equity, Tijesunimi Oni (NHS'18) is studying medical records at a maternal and child health clinic and making recommendations to ensure that pregnant patients receive screenings they need.

Elaine Shults (BGE'17) won a blue ribbon prize for her internship project with the Innovation and Partnerships Office at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Shults said that her experience in the LLNL Summer Internship Program helped her prepare for her new role as a regulatory intelligence analyst for Genentech. Max Li (BGE'17) and Diba Zomorrodi (BGE'17) also participated in the internship program, which has hosted BGE interns since 2012.

A $1 million grant from the Spencer Foundation to two Georgetown psychology professors will seek to determine the unidentified processes and practices of successful public pre-kindergarten programs.
