AFF School Open House
Sept. 5 from 5:30-7:30
Have you always wanted to take a class at AF of Fresno? Are you interested in meeting our teachers? Or just interested in speaking some French? Come to our Open House and meet the teachers and learn more about the program. Drop by any time between 5:30 - 7:30. Get your questions answered before classes begin on Sept. 11. Polynesian Luau Preview
Sept. 15 from 6:00-8:00
Join us at this informational Open House for members, potential members and guests. Meet our current board members, find out more about what we do and get a preview of our French Polynesian Luau and Show. Come listen to Polynesian legends and feel the rhythm of the dance!

We will also be honoring past presidents with a small ceremony and hors d'oeuvres. Please come and commemorate our past presidents.


Also, the first 15 people to renew their membership during the Open House will receive a French pin as a thank you for their support.

The French Polynesian Luau and Show will be on November 4 at Central High School! This is a very exciting event and more details will be forthcoming.
Membership Renewal Time
We are asking all members to please renew their membership via the website or by mail by the end of September. Your membership supports our programs and keeps French and Francophone cultures alive in Fresno. If you choose to renew by mail (see address below), the membership fees are as follows: $40 for an individual; $50 for a family; and $15 for students. If you renew online, there is a small fee for Paypal. Click on the link to renew:

Christopher Atamian, author and translator
"Fifty Years of Armenian Literature in France: A Zenith of Diasporan Literature
In the University Business Center, A. Peters Auditorium, Room 191 on the Fresno State campus.

Christopher Atamian will trace the history of a group of Armenian writers who lived in Paris after the Genocide and the great impact of those writers. The book "Fifty Years of Armenian Literature in France," was written by Krikor Beledian, translated by Atamian, and published by the Armenian Series of The Press at California State University, Fresno. Copies of the book will be on sale at the talk.
Free admission. Free parking in Lots P6 or P5-permits not required on Friday evenings.

A ballot was sent to members whose addresses are on file. Please vote by Sept. 30. The new board begins on October 1, 2017.
