Welcome To My September E-Newsletter!!

Fall has crept upon us pretty quickly this year!!  As the second busiest time to buy or sell, this fall market is sure to have the media buzzing.  Not all that is written is true.  For true market perspective, let's have a conversation about what is truly happening in the real estate market and if this would be a good time for you to buy or sell.

Below I have included what I found to be a VERY interesting and eye opening article that starts with an interesting question....  If you were to rent your entire life,  how much money would that represent over a lifetime? T he answer may surprise you and may ultimately change your view on renting vs. buying.

It seems Torontonians have a "wait and watch" perspective towards the market right now.  The announcement made by the Wynne government in April threw the robust Toronto market into "pause mode".  As Torontonians we have seen year upon year of double digit price growth, which suddenly came to a grinding.... pause.  See the article below to understand why we don't have the symptoms of a "market crash".  While prices are expected to fall, probably only to pricing about a year back... and let us remember that that was still a very good market!!!

Lastly, after returning from from Egypt and Jordan a few weeks ago, and being surrounded by quite possibly the best Hummus I've ever eaten, I have included a list of the top Hummus places in Toronto... and all without the 15 hour flight!!!

As always thank you for your past and future business and any referrals you may have are always greatly appreciated..

Keeping my finger on the pulse of Toronto real estate,

Still Renting? Look at what it costs over a lifetime...

I fundamentally believe that home ownership is a smart investment.  I call it "forced savings".  Have a look at what it would cost you if you rented for your whole life.  The final number is a bit staggering.

5% is all that is needed to get your foot in the door.  For first time buyers, that means approximately $20K down to buy a $400K 1 bedroom condo.  If you're currently paying more than $1700/mth, you could have saved your down payment in 1 year!

Something to think about!

Market Crash??  Think Again...

The announcement made by the Wynne government in April threw the robust Toronto market into "pause mode".  As Torontonians we have seen year upon year of double digit price growth, which suddenly came to a grinding.... pause.

What is happening in our market is not defined as a crash.  While prices are expected to fall, probably only to pricing about a year back... and let us remember that that was still a very good market!!!

8 Missing Ingredients For A Market Crash
Best Hummus in Toronto

This is not just about chickpeas.  There are so many variations and the stuff you can get in your local Toronto restaurants is far better than anything you can grab in a tub from the grocery store.
