JOINT COMMITTEE ON FINANCE

The Joint Committee on Finance (JCF) plans to take two major actions on Tuesday. First, the JCF intends to finish action on the 2017-19 state biennial budget. Major items left to be tackled by the JCF include transportation and general fund taxes (see below). The JCF also will vote on the FoxConn package as well.

The full Wisconsin State Assembly is expected to take up the budget the week of September 11. 

WCA ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING RESOLUTIONS AVAILABLE

The 61 resolutions submitted for consideration at the WCA Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. are now available.

The Annual Business Meeting will be held at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center.

Assembly Bill 432 - hours of instructional program for nurse aids. WCA is monitoring this bill.

Assembly Bill 473 - therapeutic diets in certain long-term care facilities. WCA is monitoring this bill.

Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety, 10:00 a.m.
Senate Bill 128 - allowing court commissioners to issue search warrants for certain civil violations. WCA is monitoring this bill.

Senate Bill 135 - revocation of operating privilege for certain offenses related to operating while intoxicated, operating after revocation, making an appropriation, and providing a criminal penalty. WCA is monitoring this bill.

Senate Committee on Sporting Heritage, Mining and Forestry, 9:00 a.m.
Senate Bill 395 - the regulation of nonferrous metallic mining, prospecting, exploration, and bulk sampling, repealing administrative rules relating to wetlands, granting rule-making authority, and making an appropriation. WCA is monitoring this bill.

Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, 11:00 a.m.
Assembly Bill 435 - prostitution crime surcharge and making appropriations. WCA is monitoring this bill.
