The Junction City Military Affairs Council will host the next monthly breakfast on Thursday, February 23 at 7:30 a.m., at the Geary County Convention Center.
As always, reservations are important. The deadline to
register
for the breakfast will be Friday, February 17, at 5:00 p.m.
Cost of the breakfast is $12 per person. New this year: military service members rate of $10! Fee is payable by check or cash at the door, or

. You do not have to sign in to register, and the cost is $12.00 regardless if you are a chamber member or not. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

NASLR Non-Coal Reclamation Award: Bayer Construction |
Each year producers, private and county, are encouraged to submit applications for outstanding reclamation work completed during the previous year. A review committee made up of six representatives from agencies who have programs involving natural resources review the applications and select the award recipient. The award is presented by the Governor or a representative of the Governor at the Kansas Aggregate Producer's Association Annual Conference held in January. The state winner's application is then submitted for consideration for the National Association of State Land Reclamationists (NASLR) Non-coal Reclamation Award.
Kansas Aggregate Producers Association/ Kansas Ready Mix Concrete Association Held there 50 th Annual Convention January 11-13th in Overland Park Kansas.
This year Bayer Construction, Manhattan Kansas, was recognized with the" Governors Mined Land Reclamation Award" for their efforts at the Martin Quarry Location 2116 13th Rd Clay Center, Ks. For Demonstrated excellence in Implementing Mind Land Reclamation and Conveying a positive image of mining .
Bayer Construction has won this award 4 times and a National Reclamation award twice.
