It's been a busy summer for SDAHU. Hopefully you were able to attend one of our special events. As a recap we had over 120 golfers attend our golf outing at the new location Encinitas Ranch. Everyone seemed to love it and we have already reserved the course again for next year.
My purpose is to begin submitting articles as your immediate past president. Because I seem to have developed a reputation as seeing things just a bit differently, a column with this title "fits the bill".

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Legislators are out for August recess and a lot happened before they left. On the Federal level the Senate was not able to pass the Health Care Reform Act (HCFA), a "skinny repeal" of the ACA.
Welcome to another SDAHU year. Since our last chat, health insurance reform has been excruciatingly prominent in the news. When I started writing this column many years ago, I hardly thought it would end up being a political opinion piece.
