Dear Camden Catholic Families:
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! As we welcome our students to this school year, I would like to thank our parents for your trust in our school as well as your partnership in educating your children. August has always been one of my favorite times in summer when our students start to move back through the building attending activities and dropping by for visits. September will bring the regularity of a school schedule and the buzz of our students ready for their fall classes.
As we enter this orientation week, please take note of the schedule included in this Irish Times. Our orientation days are an important part to the beginning or our school year. Please note the following important pieces of information:
1. Read the summer mailing. The summer mailing was sent out in early August. It contained information important to the opening of school. Students will report homeroom on orientation day. Homerooms are listed in the newsletter.
2. Order textbooks from Follett. It is important that your students have all of their learning materials at the beginning of school. Please do not wait order textbooks.
3. Ren Web will be opened up for families next week. We do limit some Ren Web access in the summer as we plan for the new school year. Families will be able to access student information by the end of orientation week.
4. Students will receive schedules from their homeroom teachers at orientation.
5. Complete summer assignments. At a minimum, all students had a summer reading assignment. The summer assignments are posted on the website and most were handed out in June.
I hope this school year will be rewarding for students and faculty. Your students will challenged daily in a rigorous academic environment that will prepare them for college and the "real world" after high school. We are blessed to be a part of this school where our community is one of a kind, opportunities are available for our students, and our Catholic faith is the guiding force in what we do on a daily basis.
Please be assured that you and your families are in my prayers,
Heather Crisci
