Dear StJPII Families,

I am so grateful the sun is still shining! I am continuing to pray for each of you. I want you all to know how proud I am of our community. I have witnessed acts of love, charity, and great kindness. Our families are reaching out, sharing resources, and donating many items that we will be giving to the families in need.

I have had many parents share their concerns with me about starting school.  Please know that at this time I will continue with the soft opening as planned this Wednesday, September 6 th at 9:00 because there are many families who need us to open.  If you cannot be here, that is okay. As a reminder, lunch service will be available at no charge for any and all students who need lunches from ECI. Additionally, the Before and After School Program will be available during regular hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

I do understand that this will be difficult for everyone for many reasons, and I will be compassionate and work with you in the next few weeks to make this as smooth as possible. Remember today is Sunday…each day brings new hope. But even as we are faced with new challenges, I know we can do this together. I am constantly reviewing your needs and will do my very best to make decisions that will be helpful and compassionate for the greater good of our entire community.

Tomorrow and Tuesday, the teachers will contact their students’ families. This will allow us to plan more effectively to address your family’s needs on a more personal level.

It is my goal to make sure that I am providing the children a place that will meet their academic, emotional, and spiritual needs during this time of recovery. It is important that I am cognizant of what is happening to the whole community. I completely understand that so many of you are carrying a heavy cross and my only intention is to help all that I can. I pray that everyday we are able to find more ways to lend many helping hands.

I ask for your support; our wonderful faculty is ready to walk alongside you and assist in helping in any way we can. We will be flexible with absences, time of arrival, and searching for alternative assignments for those students who may remain displaced.

Donation Pick Up: Monday
