The Rummage Steering Committee is happy to announce the appointment of our next  Rummage Director, who will replace Charlotte McGee at the end of this year when she retires after 10 years of outstanding Rummage leadership.

 

We are thrilled to welcome parishioner and Wilmette resident Ann Adams as Charlotte's successor. Ann will have the good fortune to serve as Charlotte's "understudy" during this year's Fall Sale, which will ensure a seamless transition, and allow Ann to hit the ground running when she takes over in January.

 

Ann and her family joined Christ Church in 2006. Her husband Chris is a retired Navy fighter pilot who currently flies for Fed Ex. Her New Trier Sophomore daughter Alexandra was confirmed at Christ Church in 2016, and her 8th grade son Dodge is a member of the current Confirmation Class of 2018.

 

Ann is a Rummage veteran, and has a deep personal passion for both the work and the ministry. She has worked in several different Rummage departments, including Sewing and Crafts, Kitchen, Luggage, and most recently Furniture. Her professional and volunteer background includes valuable experience in marketing, strategic planning, and event planning.  

 

Charlotte will continue in her current position until the end of this year - but she's not going anywhere. She will step into the Office Manager position.

Three Nights of Evensong   

July 31, August 1 & August 2

Please join us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, July 31, August 1 and August 2 as our choir presents music for its upcoming tour to Winchester Cathedral. Our choristers will sing Evensong on each of these three evenings at 8:00PM in preparation for traveling to England later that week. Music for each service will be lovely, prayerful, and inspiring.
