El Gancho Welcomes
Manon Pierme
Licensed Nutrition Councelor

Manon is a licensed nutrition and wellness practitioner on a mission to harmonize people's health through an array of dietary modalities. Her background stems from the teachings of renowned health leaders such as Dr. Andrew Weil, Walter Willet, Bernie Siegel, Joel Fuhrman and David Wolfe to name a few. She received her accreditation at the Instittute for Integrative Nutrition, and later received her RYT at Body of Santa Fe while becoming a certified Ayurvedic Self Care Educator with Amadea Morningstar. This gave her the necessary knowledge and intuition to begin a practice specializing in food intolerance/ digestive health, weight management, and women's health.

FITNESS NEWS 

Saturday, July 15th
at 11:00AM
with Martha Quick

This Saturday, the 11:00 am class will be presented as a Special 
"Yoga Pilates" session. 

The class will merge the best yoga with pilates. We will work on creating suppleness in the spin and many of the major muscles of the body. it will also focus on stabilizing the body and strengthening muscles. Pranayama (yoga breath work) will be taught to aid in relaxation.

"Safely Exploring Backbends"

Many of the poses in yoga create a "Backbend". These poses can soften stiff shoulders, backs and necks. 

They can also make us feel happy and / or empowered during a time when we need it - in short they can be a fast and easy cure if you're feeling down. 





A minimum of 3 sign-ups are needed by 5pm Monday, July 17th. 
If not session will be cancelled. 
Summer Fitness for Kids
Ages 6 to 12

Get kids active by introducing them to different types of fitness activities. 
El Gancho will be offering 4 different 45-minute kids classes this summer. 
 $15 per class

TENNIS NEWS
The following Team Registration Periods are NOW OPEN and will remain open until  AUGUST 4th for USTA Fall Leagues

2017 Adult 65 & Over
2018 Adult 40 & Over (Early Start)
 
Putting in for a team is easy.

NTRP Level
65 & Over - Men or Women - 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 Combo Rating
40 & Over - Men or Women - 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+*
*4.5+ are allowed 3-5.0 players on the roster 
 
 
The Adult 65 & Over League will start  August 28th and go until  October 6th. The local playoffs will be the weekend of  October 14th at the 
home facility of the higher seeded team. Sectionals will be in Phoenix,  December 8th thru 10th . Matches for this league will be 
played weekday mornings and a few on weekends.
 
The Adult 40 & Over League will start August 28th and go until November 12th. The local playoffs will be the weekend of November 18th at the home facility of the higher seeded team.  Sectionals will be in May of next year in Tucson. Matches for this league will be evenings during the week and weekends.
