New Look and Feel for
Maccabi Junior Carnival 2018
Running concurrently Carnival will incorporate both Maccabi Carnival Colour Games and Maccabi National Club Championships.
Maccabi National Club Championships will see the best of Maccabi teams from VIC, NSW, QLD & WA competing against each other, representing their home club. This exciting event will feature basketball, soccer, netball and tennis. Maccabi State clubs will seek interest from their best athletes to be part of this inaugural event. Teams will compete in round robin competitions with prizes awarded to winning teams.
Maccabi Colour games takes Maccabi's traditional sporting carnival and turns it up to full volume. The program will run for the entire week and will see participants competing in activities ranging from traditional basketball, soccer and netball to stand up paddle boarding, unconventional swimming races, beach events and movie production. Junior carnival will feature 5 days of sporting activities during the day, evening activities including dress up movie night, colour run, a pool party and much much more. The program will be inclusive and accessible to all athletes catering from the competitive, to the social butterfly and everyone in between.

Junior and Senior Winners
The Michael Coppel Theatrical Maccabi Snow Sports was held at Mt Buller on 7 August. 111 children and three very keen Adults competed in fantastic snow conditions. The competitors from New South Wales & Victoria competed in a slalom event for both skiing and snowboarding, across six age groups.

on Sunday we saw the Jackettes fight a great fight to unfortunately lose a heart breaker by 2 points and end their finals campaign.

AJAX Junior Football Club Round 15
Congratulations to our U10 Stars on winning their Lightning Premiership. It was an amazing way to cap off a superb season. Well done to all the boys, coaches, officials and supporters. We wish good luck to the U11 Comets, U13 Comets and U15 Comets as they start their finals campaigns on Sunday

Fiddler on the Roof - The Legacy of William Cooper
Uncle William Cooper (1860- 1941) was an Indigenous activist and leader of his community
When he heard of Kristallnacht in far off Europe, he organised for a delegation of Indigenous men and women to march to the German consulate in Melbourne, and presented them with a letter condemning the Jewish persecution. The letter was rejected.
Now, 79 years after that act, Cooper's grandson wishes to travel to Berlin so that the German Government of today can finally accept the letter of his grandfather.
