PRAYING FOR OUR HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP
First Presbyterian high school youth are in Baltimore this week on an urban mission trip. They ask for our prayers and will check in with us throughout the week by sharing photos in First Connect, the church's Facebook group page for members.

Here's the report from Day 2, written by Reid Bond and Brad Hull:

Today was our first full day in Baltimore and we started our day with worship at Faith Presbyterian Church. Experiencing a different type of service showed us that people live in different environments then we do. After the service we went on a justice tour of Baltimore. This tour showed us the various sides of Baltimore and how drastic they can change from block to block. We also saw glimpses of Baltimore that is not always shown on the news. We still have a full week ahead of us and much more to look forward too. We are extremely excited for this upcoming week of VBS.

PLANNING AHEAD...
Summer Centering

Through September 3, First Presbyterian will follow a more relaxed summer worship and formation schedule with a single worship service at 11am and a time of Summer Centering at 10am.

Elementary age children through adults will gather in Wood Fellowship Hall for a short time of music, prayer and lesson. Then everyone will choose one of three stations through which to experience the lesson more deeply.
  • Prayer - A time of guided or personal prayer.
  • Conversation - Discuss a passage of Scripture and meaning of the lesson.
  • Hands & Feet - Explore the lesson through crafts, letter writing, or occasional excursions.
