LUM Board Visits Summer Programs in Action
LUM Board Tours Food Pantry & 5th Quarter
This week, members of the LUM Board of Directors made two site visits. They visited the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program at First Christian Church and the St. John's/LUM Food Pantry at St. John's Episcopal Church (both on N 6th Street, Lafayette).

Joe Micon, LUM executive director, led the tour and shared, "It is important for the LUM Board members to get out and see first hand who we serve, how we serve, and where we serve. Monthly reports are helpful, but visiting a site is more powerful." Mark Thomas, president of the LUM Board, who attended the tours stated that "It was a wonderful day  and an affirmation that the LUM staff are doing great work and as a whole LUM is continuing to have a tremendous impact on the families in our community."
