Making it Easy for Everyone to Give to Your Church
There are a lot of ways you can be involved in our associations. Check out the web page Our Associations at Work for a listing of Committees, Ministry Teams and Prophetic Witness Teams. Each of these also has a page that will give you a summary of each group's purpose and plan of action.
Clothing/Book Giveaway
On Saturday, August 12 there will be a clothing and book giveaway for ages infant to 12 years from 11AM-1PM at West Park United Church of Christ (3909 Rocky River Dr, Cleveland) in the front yard. Come pick up free clothing and books to end the summer and start the school year! All are welcome.
Healthy Practices for Ministry
You are invited to Healthy Practices for Ministry: An Unexamined Ministry is Not Worth Doing on Saturday, September 16, 9AM-2:30PM, at United Church of Christ Congregational (217 E Liberty St, Medina). This day will allow you to reflect on the course of your ministry over time, make note on high points and low points, identify wounds that linger, identify what aids your healing and ways to move forward, identify embers that could turn into flames, and worship with colleagues in a Taize style gathering. Our facilitator will be Charlotte Still Noble. The seminar is $35. Optional lunch is $10.

Plant a Yard Sign for the Paris Accord
In response to the United States pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord, General Synod passed an emergency resolution entitled “The Earth Is the Lord’s—Not Ours to Wreck.” With 16 conferences as sponsors and 97% of delegates voting in its favor, the resolution reflects a denomination in which two recent surveys found that climate is the number one issue of concern for members. As a tangible act of witness related to the resolution, churches are invited to plant yard signs that declare, “We [heart] Planet Earth. We Support the Paris Accord.”
