Bringing the Holidays Into Focus
Sunday, August 27, 10:30 am - 12:00 noon
Sunday, September 17, 10:30 am - 12:00 noon
(Both sessions at CNT)
Enrich your mind and soul as we delve into some of the central themes and texts of the High Holy Day season. The Rosh Hashanah session will look at the history of Rosh Hashanah from its origins in the Bible to its celebration today marking the birthday of the world. From the ancient to the modern, we will discuss ways to approach the New Year with a new perspective.
As we approach Yom Kippur our tradition says that we should engage in a period of reflection, soul searching and redirection. For the Yom Kippur session we examine some of the central texts for Yom Kippur as we prepare to orient our focus on this holiest of days as a springboard into a new and better year.
