Get out and vote for your "Best of the Market" during National Farmers Market Week

Fredericksburg City Farmers Market joins markets across the country in celebrating National Farmers Market Week on August 5, 2017 offering specials, free samples, a photo booth, stickers and temporary tattoos for the kids. Learn more about the City Farmers Market through our Department of Parks and Recreation.

Local business owner Dori Eglevsky will retire in August and her company, Keystone Coffee & AutoSpa, will be transferred to her son, Miles Eglevsky.   Miles looks forward to you visiting him and taking in his renovations at 2216 Princes Anne St.  Our office and the city wishes Dori a happy retirement!

Service Spotlight

Victoria Matthews with Fredericksburg's Department of Economic Development and Tourism (EDT) was a presenter at the Virginia Association of Destination Marketing Organizations' quarterly meeting on July 27 in Falls Church. Victoria's presentation was part of a reunion planning seminar. The other panelists were Edith Wagner, Reunions Magazine editor-in-chief, and Cheryl Morales, marketing manager for the Newport News' Tourism Development Office. EDT has put on a family reunion workshop for several years in the Fredericksburg region.

Do you have what it takes to compete in Made in FredVA?

Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the 2017 Made in FredVA business start-up competition. Made in FredVA is organized by the Next Generation of Business Leaders. This public event will be held November 2, 2017 and is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority.

 
Completion celebration for Downtown utility work

The City of Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg VA Main Street Inc. and W.C. Spratt Inc. celebrated the reopening of Caroline Street in front of the Executive Plaza, 601 Caroline St.

Angela Freeman, Business Development Manager, selected by Leadership Fredericksburg

Angela Freeman, the City's Business Development Manager, has been selected as one of 29 participants in the 2017-2018 class of Leadership Fredericksburg. The nine-month program, which is run by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, offers in-depth leadership training, networking and community service projects. The program will begin in September. View the list of the other participants in this year's Leadership Fredericksburg program.
