All SSA meetings are open to the public, please join us! The SSA #33 Commission meets on Wednesday, 7/19, 7 pm at the Wicker Park Field House (1425 N. Damen Ave) On Tuesday, 7/25, the Arts Committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the WPB Chamber office (1414 N. Ashland).
New Neighborhood SAFETY & SECURITY Rebate Programs
After consulting with SSA #33 taxpayers and neighborhood stakeholders over the past six months, as well as engaging a public quality-of-life consultant (
Responsible Hospitality Institute President & Founder
Jim Peters), WPB SSA #33 has updated its previous graffiti abatement rebate program to include a range of
safety-related rebates:
- Security cameras
- Exterior lighting
- Anti-smash glass film
- Window repair
- Graffiti removal
- Private security
The new rebates are for eligible properties within the boundaries of WPB SSA #33, and will reimburse 50 percent of the cost of one or more of these neighborhood safety measures, up to $1,000 per measure annually, per location. Private security reimbursements are eligible for up to $2,500 annually, per location.
