NEW - ONA News
|
The ONA Congregations of Central PA once again will have an information and outreach booth at
Pride Festival of Central PA! This year's festival will be held in Riverfront Park in Harrisburg on
July 29, 2017. (Please note date change from previous eNews.) Festival hours are
11:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed!! All ONA Congregations are invited to participate in staffing the booth, talking to other festival attendees, and distributing information on your congregation.

On July 12, Hummelstown UCC voted to become an open and affirming church. This brings Penn Central's total to 17 ONA churches. Congratulations to Hummelstown!

NEW - PAM Classes
|
The Pennsylvania Academy of Ministry announces the
first of a four class series in Old & New Testament studies.
Old Testament 1 - August 12th from 9am to 4pm
at First UCC on Route 61 in Schuylkill Haven.
The Rev. Dr. Debra Winters of Palmer Theological Seminary will be teaching the series.
Old Testament II - Oct 21st
New Testament I - Dec. 9th
New Testament II -Jan. 13, 2018.
Our UCC History & Polity class normally scheduled for this Fall has been rescheduled for the Fall of 2018.
Please go to www.paacademyofministry.org to register online. Reading assignments and pre-class writing assignments can be found on the 2nd page of the registration.
Deadline for registration is August 5th.
These classes are excellent forms of continuing education for our Licensed Ministers or for laity interested in expanding their biblical knowledge.

Hamilton Park UCC is a warm and friendly congregation, ready for growth and vitality, which seeks to hire a permanent part time Director of Music that is able to provide encouraging, enthusiastic and supportive leadership for the church music ministry.
This presently includes an adult choir, small music ensembles and soloists with possible future development of a children's and intergenerational choir. Applicant must have an appreciation for both contemporary and traditional church music and must be talented and proficient in choir-directing and piano accompaniment with strong professional leadership skills. A music education or equivalent choir directing experience is required.

Trinity, Mercersburg Celebrates 225 Years!

Trinity United Church of Christ, Mercersburg PA, is celebrating its 225th Anniversary (1792 - 2017) by hosting a worship service, catered celebratory picnic and program on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
The event will be held at the Lion's Club Park in Mercersburg PA; worship service at 11:30 a.m. and meal and program beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Members, church participants, local clergy, friends and special guests have been invited.
