GEPL Reads: Supplies 4 Success
Now through August 21
Read your way through enough fascinating, scintillating titles this summer and you'll help in-need kids get brand new backpacks and school supplies!

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is partnering with Supplies 4 Success, a locally-based charitable organization, that raises money to give in-need students in Glen Ellyn District 41 and Community Consolidated District 89 a school supply kit and backpack. When the community collectively reaches this year's summer reading goals, the Friends of the Glen Ellyn Public Library and the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation have each pledged funds that will buy supply-filled backpacks for 80 local children. Want to Walk in the July 4th Parade?
The Foundation is looking for children to walk with library staff in this year's Fourth of July Parade. Children would help library staff promote the Foundation's upcoming  Jungle Book Ball. Contact Eileen Mullin-Gasteier, Ball Director, at  [email protected] to participate.

Glen Ellyn's 4th of July Parade
Tuesday, July 4 | 12 pm
Come and watch your town march by with American pride! More than 70 parade units will march through and around the village's downtown area. The route begins at Ellyn Avenue, goes west on Crescent Boulevard, north on Main Street and east on Linden Avenue to Lake Ellyn Park.  Find out more about July 4th activities.

T he Glen Ellyn Public Library will be closed Tuesday, July 4. Normal business hours will resume Wednesday, July 5.
