Letter from the President
We're entering the heart of the summer now, but don't let the heat stop your training routine.  Hot weather training can make all the difference for races in a month or two that may end up hot during the race, and training in the heat now can prepare you to handle those race challenges better.  Be sure to stay hydrated when training in the heat though!  And if you're planning to do some local training and would like some company, be sure to post it to the TTT Facebook group to get some fellow TTT members out with you.

We've got a couple important events coming up soon.

First, the next race in the 2017 TTT Race Series is the High Point Sprint Triathlon on August 12.  This was our biggest attended race in 2016, and we'd like to improve on that this year.  To help encourage that, this will be a double points race!  The TTT will be a sponsor of the High Point Sprint Triathlon as well, so I'd love to see us represented with lots of racers and volunteers out there!

Second, we're sponsoring the Growler Gallop Gibb's Hundred 5k and 10k this year on August 27.  This is a great local race, and is part of the Trivium Race the Bar series.  These are always fun late afternoon races, and include some entertainment after the race is over as well.  If you're not planning to race, I'd love to see lots of TTT support with volunteers out on the course helping out and cheering the runners on!

Both of these events also still have full-event volunteer spots open.  So if you're willing to volunteer from start-to-finish, you can get 75% off a future Trivium race.  This is a great way to save a bit of money on your race schedule for next year!  There are also lots of other spots for water stops, registration, and other support activities.  Either way, go to the Trivium event pages for more info for either event and to signup as a volunteer.  Those 75% off opportunities are limited, so get in there soon if you're interested.  I hope to see lots of you out at both of these events!

This month's Athlete of the Month is Joe Matthews!

Meet Joe! He has been participating in triathlons for 4 years, but with his skills and speed you would think it was longer. Joe is usually smiling and making a workout or training look easy. If you see Joe, congratulate him on being this month's AOM!
See more about Joe here:

This month's Sponsor Spotlight is TeamIndure!
Who is looking to win some money and to be Sponsored Athlete for an upcoming event. We have 2  individuals that would like to provide sponsorship for an upcoming event.  Both are currently running races that they did not choose to enter with (Cancer, Neurological Disorder.). So, in their honor we are holding a July Sign Contest.   No purchase necessary.

TTT membership entitles you to 10% off merchandise purchased through our store www.theiissilent.com and in honor of our teamindure Ragnar Trail Relay Team we will be donating and additional 10% to our partner Charities for all of 2017.   For more information on our team "THE I IS SILENT" and our partner charities please visit

Also, we have a special code that provides a discount off registration.  We excited to announce we are finalizing details on an Ultra team and we are still looking to add another 8 person team if anyone is interested in joining us.  This is a great way to honor those around you that mat be running a race with Cancer or other long standing disease.

Remember joining our teamindure team on Charity Miles is free.  We have 25 members that have logged 9220 miles for charity.  We have set a goal of 15,000 miles by the end of the year.  Will you help us reach our goal.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions at pete@teamindure.com or visit us as www.teamindure.com

Thank You for your support!
Team Meeting at Rody's Tavern,  MONDAY, JULY 17th @6pm.
Park at Rody's, then we will meet for a short run, then head back to Rody's for a short discussion on race day planning by local coach Simon Cloutier.   We'll also be raffling off a Rudy Project Big Backpack, which would make a fantastic transition bag to help you with your race day planning!  Even if you can't make it for the run, come join us for the talk.  We're looking forward to you joining us for some exercise, dinner or a drink, and some learning.

We are in the thick of race season now. Post on FB your accomplishments, any workouts you may want company on, and crossing that finish line!
