We are happy to announce the signing of former Western Carolina University SS/LB, ANTHONY "ACE" CLARK, JR (6030/238), as a new client of the agency. Please note in your files that this is a change in representation for him.
Ace is a strong, mobile, physical player who has a "whatever it takes" approach to a return opportunity to the NFL or CFL, which is why he spent the spring in the Indoor Football League. In the IFL, he did exactly what he needed to do: he dominated. We know it's IFL tape, but if you take time to view it, you'll see a smart, aggressive player who can compete at linebacker and who can absolutely contribute in a big way on special teams.

Pro Experience
-- 2015 NFL Combine ran a 4.68 at just 215; has run consistently between a 4.59 - 4.61 at over 235 numerous time after that.
-- Seattle Seahawks minicamp, 2015; invited to minicamp by 3 NFL teams following the 2015 NFL Draft, all the same week and he honored his first commitment which he made to Seattle
-- Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 2016; signed following workout invite; attended off-season minicamp; released prior to training camp
-- Colorado Crush (Arena/IFL), 2017 (see highlights at bottom, right); finished season playing in 10 games, notching 44 solo and 40 assisted tackles, 5 TFL and 4 Sacks; had team-high 9.5 tackles twice during the season (vs. Salt Lake City and Spokane)

Ace played Safety at Western Carolina (2010-2014 seasons), but most likely projects to LB at the NFL level, and can definitely be a difference-maker on special teams as well. He finished his WCU career with 339 total career tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss, good for second all time in school history.
2014 (Redshirt Senior):
Started all 11 of the 11 games in which he saw action on the season; Ranked second on the team with 78 tackles including 36 solo stops and a career-best 3.5 tackles for loss; Was a unanimous first team All-Southern Conference selection by both the league's head coaches and voting members of the media; Additionally earned All-SoCon plaudits from College Sports Madness; Selected to play in both the 2015 Medal of Honor Bowl and the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl; Tallied two double-digit tackle outings this season including a season-best 15 in the home win over Brevard; Had eight-or-more tackles in five games; Forced three fumbles and recovered one, while also coming up win an interception in the season-opener at South Florida to be a part of five defensive takeaways; Also broke up two passes from his safety position;
2013 (Redshirt Junior):
Started all 12 games on the season in the defensive secondary; Ranked fourth on the WCU squad with 84 tackles including 41 solo stops and half a tackle for loss; Was tied for 15th in the Southern Conference with a 7.6 tackles per game average; Named All-Southern Conference second team defense by the league's head coaches; Posted two double-digit tackle games including 11 in the season-opener at Middle Tennessee - adding a fumble recovery and return against the Blue Raiders - and a season-high 13 at Chattanooga; Tallied eight-or-more stops in five games on the year; Blocked a field goal attempt against The Citadel; Credited with two pass break-ups.
2012 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Started eight of the 10 games in which he saw action; Ranked fourth on the team with 88 tackles including 42 solo stops and two tackles for loss; Was tied for second on the team with two interceptions; Came away with WCU's first pick of the season - and the first of his career - in the fourth quarter of the home win over Mars Hill; Also intercepted a pass against Samford in conference play; Additionally credited with four pass break-ups on the year; Recorded double-digit tackles in three games on the season including a career-high 20 against Chattanooga which saw the DB post 12 solo stops
2011 (Redshirt Freshman):
Played in all 11 games with 10 starts in the defensive secondary; Ranked second on the team with 90 total tackles including tying for the team-lead with 50 solo stops; His 90 stops ranked eighth in the final Southern Conference standings; Named to the 2011 Southern Conference All-Freshman team; Tallied six-or-more tackles in every game; Credited with half a tackle for loss against nationally-ranked Appalachian State, while also recovering a fumble in the home opener against Mars Hill; Broke up three passes; Named the team's defensive player of the week after his 11-tackle performance at The Citadel; Posted a career-high with 13 total tackles against Appalachian State, making a career-best seven solo stops
