Dear Senator (________________):

My name is ________________ and on behalf of (yourself or an orgnaization, group, city, school, etc), we ask that you include at least $700 million for the Indian Housing Block Grant in FY 2018. Earlier this year, Congress appropriated $654 million for the IHBG for FY 2017, which largely holds funding levels unchanged since NAHASDA was created in 1996.

However, if Congress factored inflation into IHBG funding since 1996, tribes should be receiving approximately $900 million in FY 2018!

Attached are two documents that contain funding information on a number of federal housing programs that impact tribal communities. I hope you find these useful in your work. We thank you for your continued support of tribal housing programs and if you have any questions please reach out to the National American Indian Housing Council at 202-789-1754.

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
Do not forget to attach the following two Documents.
