Corporate Fitness Works - Thank You for Doing Business in Pinellas

On June 6th, Commissioner Kenneth Welch, Vice Chair of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,  presented the Thank You for Doing Business in Pinellas award to Corporate Fitness Works of St. Petersburg. Brenda Loube, President and Co-Founder of Corporate Fitness Works, and Christine Hart, Vice President of Finance, received the award on behalf of the company. Corporate Fitness Works provides customized fitness and wellness solutions for corporations, government agencies, property management groups, universities, retirement communities and hospitals.  In 2016, the company was ranked by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as the 20th fastest growing privately held company in Florida and the #1 fastest growing women-owned company in the state.

Tampa Bay's economic developers continue to work collaboratively to market the advantages of the region. In June, representatives from Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, Hernando and Pasco counties met with site selectors in New York City to discuss opportunities in Tampa Bay for expanding and relocating employers. The goal was to convey a clear message that Florida and our region are open for business and there is no better location for growing employers.

EEI Wins 2017 Florida Sterling Award
 
EEI Manufacturing Services, located in Clearwater, Florida, was recently honored with a Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence award. The awards, recognizing high performing manufacturers in six categories, were announced and presented at the 2017 Governor's Sterling Awards Banquet at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes on June 2 in Orlando.

Veterans Florida Business Training Grant

 
 
The Veterans Florida Business Training Grant program provides grant funding for customized, skills-based curriculum development and training to businesses in Florida's targeted, high-growth and high-wage industries. Funding is provided in the form of a performance-based reimbursable grant for a 12-month maximum term per new employee. A business pays for pre-approved, direct training-related costs and is reimbursed by Veterans Florida, up to $8,000 per veteran employee trained.
