An overwhelming majority of Americans view gun ownership as essential to their freedom.  That is what a recent Pew Research poll discovered in a deep dive into the complex relationship Americans have with guns.
Hearing Protection Act Picking Up Support (from NSSF Government Relations)

The Hearing Protection Act, H.R. 367, introduced by U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C) has picked up more bipartisan Congressional support, bringing total co-sponsors to 153. U.S. Reps. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), Mike Johnson (R-La.), David McKinley (R-W.V.), Robert Pittinger (R-N.C.) and Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) signed onto the legislation. The Hearing Protection Act would remove the onerous background checks requirements associated with buying a suppressor.  Instead, they would be regulated by the same instant background checks as firearms.  A similarly titled bill in the Senate, S. 59, introduced by U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), also gained another cosponsor, with U.S. Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) bringing the total to 17.

Researchers have found that "experiences" deliver long lasting happiness, especially when experienced with loved ones. This is because our experiences become part of our identity. So, get your family together and join our family friendly Members-Only Rim-Fire Steel Plates League that starts on Thursday, July 6th and will take place on alternating Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm until August 31st. This event will take place in the Pistol Bay and all shooting will be from the booths, firing at dual 4" plates from 10 yards - two shooters at one time. Dates: July 6, July 20, August 3, August 17, August 31.
 
Firearms, Ammunition and Equipment: .22 LR caliber only. Pistols or rifles may be used, though the bracketed shoot-off will be for pistols only. There are no restriction on sights or optics. All firearms must be brought to the firing line in a case.
 
Any Ann Arbor Arms member is eligible to participate. Member dependents at least 12 years old may also participate. Each session will be the same, so members will be able to track their progress. Times will be recorded and emailed to all participants.
