WaHoo/BooHoo Party for Rev. Susan
Sunday, July 2, 11:30 AM in the Sanctuary
On Sunday, July 2, Rev. Susan will be saying goodbye to the congregation in her final service with us. She will continue on to Boston to assume her role as the first woman elected UUA President. We are so proud of her successful campaign and have much to celebrate about her leadership at UUCP in the last 9 years. We also recognize the feelings of grief we may hold in saying farewell to our beloved minister and want to create space to feel all the feelings as we wish her well. Join us for a "Wahoo! BooHoo!" Party in her honor after service in the Sanctuary. If you are able, please bring a non-dessert appetizer to share to the kitchen before the service.

Cards for Rev. Susan are very welcome at the party.

Share the Plate with the Craig Block Memorial Scholarship Fund at de Benneville Pines
Sunday, July 9 at 10:30 AM
Craig Block was a beloved advisor and mentor for the UU senior high youth community for over a decade, who built his life around being able to give as much of himself as he could. He brought his true and unique self to every interaction, always making sure you knew that he cared and had time for you. We will always remember Craig as someone who put the lives and futures of young people before his own, and inspired others to do the same. All funds collected from Share the Plate will be used to send youth from around the PSWD to camps at de Benneville Pines.

Elementary Summer Camp at de Benneville
Sunday, July 9 - Saturday, July 15
Camp de Benneville Pines in Southern California
Camp is joy! We hike, we swim, we laugh, we sing. We create, we shoot arrows (safely, at targets!), we eat good food, and breathe fresh air. By making new friends and trying new things we build an amazing community of love and acceptance. Our theme, "It's in Every One of Us," connects the splendor of nature around us with the same awesomeness inside us all.

Come join UU youth from all over the district at camp this summer in the cool mountains of Southern California near Big Bear. Campers are well cared-for by trained counselors who are guided by Unitarian Universalist principles and work to build a loving and inclusive camp community. This week is for campers completing grades 2-5.
