Thank you for another great Annual Meeting & Conference!
Laura Hamby, Moderator

Dreaming ~ Talking ~ Acting! The 63rd Annual Meeting of the NACCC is in the books. The fellowship, new friends, experiences, and even the business meetings will live on in our hearts and in the business of the NACCC. Our time together was productive and fun; relaxing and busy; engaging and spirit filled.

Highlights of our time together included: business meetings convened in prayer led by our youth and youth leaders; relevant workshops with standing room only; inspirational music, worship, and Communion led by our host committee with music provided by many of our talented musicians from across the country; talking with our missionaries from around the world and here at home; meals, receptions, the MOMC mixer, and evening entertainment are all just a hint of what took place in our time together.

Bible lecturer, Rev. Dr. Barbara Brown Taylor teamed up with Simon Peter to explore our theme of Dreaming, Talking, Acting, and touched us with her insight and inspired us with her message. Sunday morning worship was awesome in the truest sense of the word, led by our host committee, with music by the all-conference choir, Piedmont President, Dr. James Mellichamp at the organ (WOW!), and sermon by Emily Miller-Todd.

Monday afternoon we worked side by side with our youth packing 20,520 meals to feed God's people in Malawi. (See picture below)

Keep your eyes open!  I am sure that The Congregationalist and the NACCC website will feature this year's Congregational Panel. It is NOT to be missed! They enlightened us with their stories of what Congregationalism means to them and brought us together with the unity we share and diversity we cherish.

Finally, the biggest ever thank you to our host, Dr. James Mellichamp and Piedmont College for providing the perfect backdrop for our meeting! They did it with style brimming over with southern hospitality. On behalf of a grateful NACCC, I thank and commend, the host committee, led by Rev. Joyce Acree, and the good people of Demorest Methodist Congregational Federated Church, and Piedmont College. With much gratitude, thank you!
