My Baby & Me Spotlight
Each month, we are highlighting the wonderful work being done through our My Baby & Me Program's Pregnancy Educator, Rebecca.
July Spotlight:
"Advocates working to prevent and address fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) are facing a dilemma familiar to those who work on substance use issues. The public is aware of the problem and even considers it important. Yet, public thinking also includes many unproductive assumptions and beliefs that complicate efforts to build support for evidence-based solutions."

My Baby & Me works to bridge the gap between provider, participant, and public awareness of prenatal alcohol use and it's potential risks for Mom and Baby. By screening every woman, My Baby & Me Providers ensure that all clients receive accurate information, as well as the chance for additional services.

"Everything stems from having support."- MBM Participant

Celebrating Independence

We hope you all had a wonderful independence day - a day where the United States celebrates its freedom as an independent nation.

In celebration of freedom, this month's Journaling Exercise is a free write. Usually, journaling has us consciously examine our thoughts, feeling, and experiences. Use this as an opportunity to discover what's going on with your sub-conscious.

Free writing is a technique in which a person writes continuously for a set period of time without regard to spelling, grammar, or topic. It can be liberating not to have to come up with specific ideas- be free!
