Last week Jen talked about how 4-H is going to benefit from the proceeds of the Duck Derby. She also talked about how the idea of receiving the money ignited a spark in the group and they decided to do more. I think this is the best part of the Rotary Duck Derby. When the money was used for athletic fields in the high schools, neighbors and parents joined in because they realized the community was helping. Students were joyful because they knew they were being honored. When the money was used to help build Morrison Park, other organizations participated along with some very generous donors. If we think of the Duck Derby as a catalyst - it's really much much more than one race benefiting one or two causes. It's an overall community call to action - led by little yellow duckies. Not a bad idea really.
Cheers!

TODAY'S PROGRAM
We will hear the vocational of Lily Morgan and Josh Balloch. This is the best way to get to know our newest Rotarians. It's always interesting.
A REMINDER
Our treasurer has sent out invoices for club dues and the club's own foundation. It's good to pay the invoice as soon as possible.

Committee Choices
If you have not joined a committee - do so.
If you have been part of committees - perhaps it's time to branch out and change what you are doing - or perhaps you want to stay right where you are. Any of those actions are great. Here's a list of committees you could be a part of.
