In June, the Medina County Community Fund awarded grants totaling $27,700 to six nonprofit organizations, including the largest grant in the fund's history to support a countywide transportation program. Additional grants this year will underwrite a community arts festival, help women in need secure sustainable employment, and more.

Fund officials recently presented MCCF's first impact grant to Faith in Action Medina County Caregivers. The $15,000 grant will help the agency purchase a new van to transport area residents to life-sustaining medical appointments. Last year, the program provided nearly 2,400 free rides throughout Medina, Summit and Cuyahoga counties.

The Medina County Community Fund is proud to welcome Jody Wheaton to our advisory board. Jody is the executive director of client solutions and program management at Corporate College, a division of Cuyahoga Community College. She will use her talents as a strategic thought leader, consultant and advisor to advance the work of MCCF throughout the county. Welcome, Jody!

On Thursday, June 22, the Medina County Community Fund welcomed friends, supporters and grantees to Fox Meadow Country Club for our annual Spring into Summer event. That evening, we presented grant awards to six local nonprofit agencies and celebrated another successful year of building permanent philanthropy in Medina County.
