Welcome Jamie, Tehama County FARMS Leadership Coordinator
Jamie Marron

Jamie was raised in the small town of Orland, located in Glenn County where her love and appreciation for agriculture grew as a young child. Her grandparents owned a trucking business that hauled commodities throughout the states and still have a beef cattle operation as a hobby. She can remember being quizzed on orchards, row crops, and breeds driving down the freeway in the semi.

She was an active member of the 4-H program for 12 years and FFA for five years. She held many leadership roles in both organizations. She enjoyed expanding her beef herd, selling market steers, participating the Dairy Replacement Heifer Program and learning about different faucets in Agriculture.

She decided to attend California State University, Chico to major in Agriculture with an option in Agriscience and Education. While attending college, Jamie worked at a floral shop and as a field assistant, office technician, and assistant 4- H program representative for UCCE, Glenn County. Four years later, she began the credential program and then received a job as the 4-H Program Representative at the UCCE office in Glenn County.

Jamie currently lives in Tehama County with her husband and one year old daughter. She has a small herd of cattle, a few chickens and a couple dogs. She is still an active 4-H volunteer and works at the floral shop part time. Jamie is thankful to have met so many agriculture enthusiasts and value their friendship. For Jamie, farming is a not just a job, but it's a way of life!
